Abstract
In public elementary and high schools in Costa Rica, the reading skill is part of the Ministerio
de Educación program joined with the other three skills; unfortunately this important strategy is
not taking place in the English lessons as much as needed which is having repercussion in English
Graduation Exams that are focusing in reading comprehension.
