Employing the formative evaluation to improve writing skills, through the technique of annotated portfolios of creative work, with seventh graders of the new hope bilingual high school.
Abstract
This research paper is going to investigate the technique of annotated
portfolios of creative work as a useful practice to work on the improvement of
writing skills through a formative method. This investigation takes place in the
private high school of New Hope, in Heredia, seventh graders were part of the
process. The technique of annotated portfolios of creative work was combined with
the teaching method of formative evaluation to have a variety of tasks where the
students could develop their creativity to the fullest using their abilities, dividing the
portfolio into the three tasks as writing about the environment, a picture, and a
person.
